Resident Artist Dede Warren is back at Gilding the Lily this time sharing her exclusive Globes de Mariee'. Made in France during the 1800s, these globes typically held bridal keepsakes. Upon seats made of silk or velvet, sat a brides wedding bouquet or headpiece, and photos or mementos from her special day. Dede will create a handmade chair base for each of you, and will then guide you through constructing your own velvet, tufted cushion, soldering symbolic filigree pieces, creating a pop up wedding card, and much more. All supplies are included but you're welcome to bring a few special embellishments of your own! Stands approximately 12" tall.

• old cookie sheet • scissors • tweezers • awl  • old rag
*feel free to bring any special embellishments as well
