Class Fee: $195.00, kit fee $30.00
Leslie Marsh and Lorri Scott are teaming up to bring you two perspectives on the wildly popular art of eco-dyeing. Focusing on fabric, Lorri will guide participants through her steaming techniques to obtain stunning prints using leaves and rust. Leslie will focus on an immersion method using both paper and fabric.
During this workshop, participants will be introduced to the basics of Indigo Dyeing with some simple shibori techniques on fabric. They will also explore the reaction between natural dyes and plant material and experiment with natural color washes.
Lorri will have a vat of pale Indigo dye that can be used to over-dye some of the botanical and rust dye prints from Day One.
*Techniques from Day One will not be repeated. Participants will have to option to purchase already-printing fabrics for a small fee if they did not take Day One.
