Saturday, November 19, 2016, 9:30am - 5:00pm
Class Fee: $195.00, kit fee $30.00
Leslie Marsh and Lorri Scott are teaming up to bring you two perspectives on the wildly popular art of eco-dyeing. Focusing on fabric, Lorri will guide participants through her steaming techniques to obtain stunning prints using leaves and rust. Leslie will focus on an immersion method using both paper and fabric.
Dye printing with botanicals and rust is a fascinating (ad)venture. Lorri and Leslie have been exploring these techniques for several years and are still learning and being surprised by the magical outcome.
This is not a project based class, so you'll have plenty of time to amass a pile of botanical and rust printed paper and fabric to use in projects of your choice, be it scarves, collage, books, etc.
Supply to Bring:
scissors, an apron as this can be a wet & messy class
Optional: copper or iron pipe (NOT galvanized) 3/4" - 1" diameter and 8 - 10" long, small pieces of fabric as long as they are natural fibers; 100% cotton, wool, linen
