Create your own “memories under glass” with Sherry Goodloe in this mixed media jewelry project using antique opticians’ lenses, ephemera, as well as your own pieces of memorabilia and meaningful items.
All supplies will be included by the artist, with the exception of tools. Please bring with you a pair of detail scissors and any personal items you would like to include in your necklace (you may want to make copies of vintage or antique photos, retaining your originals; make sure photos, or the image area you want to work with, are no larger than 1.5x1.5 inches in size.
You will create a vintage optical lens necklace with your photos or images, or you will be able to select from image sand clip art that Sherry will bring with her. Decorative papers, printed words, watch parts and other bits and bobs will be supplied by Sherry to embellish your necklace, as well as a choice of ball chain or velvet ribbon for your necklace, and suede leather for backing your pendant.

"Wired Embrace" Necklace

Explore free-form wire-wrapping and wired component techniques with Sidney Hanner and this piece called “Wired Embrace.” This is a beautiful mixed media piece that incorporate found items, buttons, stones, beads and imagery.



You will learn several wire wrapping techniques, fiber bead construction, how to forge an “S” hook closure, wrapping beads and charms.

Materials List: Wire: 20, 22, and 16 gauge; the latter you will need the least...only a foot or so. Most of the work will be done in 20 and 22 gauge wire...your choice of copper, gold filled, or silver. Jump rings, a dozen or so heavy duty ones in the same metal, and chain to match. Patin solutions available at store for use.Beads of your choice, chandelier drops (2 hole variety), vintage buttons and charms.


Tools required: Small hammer, round and flat nose pliers, wire nippers, and bench block. Your Kit Includes: Full color instruction booklet • Pre-soldered focal bead ready to wire wrap and add an image • Diamond Glaze • Fibers to make a couple of fiber beads if you like and some glass seed beads (liver of sulfur if needed)

Links of Love make their appearance once again in this divine necklace. Who can resist the wee bit of pink we all fell in love with the first time, a flash of crystal and a splash of vintage that all come together to create the “Links of Love” necklace; a piece of jewelry that echoes the beauty of the past.


Join Somerset Artist and Writer Kristen Robinson in creating this delightful necklace. Sterling silver charms with words full of love intertwine with pearls, vintage charms, rosary chain, silver chain and the centerpiece - a felted heart. The class is process based with bounds of inspiration to take with you into other projects. We will cover basic composition, jump rings, wire wrapping and the principles of needle felting. Please feel free to bring additional trinkets or charms you may wish to attach to your necklace.
