Robin Dudley-Howes is back at Gilding the Lily teaching these show stopping earrings. Made with genuine Garnets, Pearls, and Sterling Silver square wire these stunning earrings have quickly become a best seller for Robin. Now she'll share her tips and techniques for creating a pair for yourself. Filled with a tiny message or perhaps some vintage lace, Robin will teach you to make a simple bead cap and eye from one running piece of wire, as well as teach you to create shepherds hooks, and traditional wire wrapping. All supplies are generously included. Earrings are approximately 2 inches.

Globes de Mariee'

Resident Artist Dede Warren is back at Gilding the Lily this time sharing her exclusive Globes de Mariee'. Made in France during the 1800s, these globes typically held bridal keepsakes. Upon seats made of silk or velvet, sat a brides wedding bouquet or headpiece, and photos or mementos from her special day. Dede will create a handmade chair base for each of you, and will then guide you through constructing your own velvet, tufted cushion, soldering symbolic filigree pieces, creating a pop up wedding card, and much more. All supplies are included but you're welcome to bring a few special embellishments of your own! Stands approximately 12" tall.

Woodland Fairy Boudoir Lamp

We are excited to have Artist Iva Wilcox back with us sharing her stunning Boudoir Lamp where fairies ride birds and frolic in the forest. Inside, the lamp illuminates tiny fairies set among moss covered ground, taking in a quiet moment amongst themselves. It's like looking down the rabbit hole into an amazingly, detailed world! Iva will share her techniques working with decorative papers and trims to cover your lamp and create a magical time in the forest. You'll learn to wire a low voltage, plug-in lamp assembly, in addition to learning basic techniques of how to turn ordinary fodder into an imaginary world! Students will mix paper, glitter, trims, and ordinary objects to create this small scale theater. Lamp stands approximately 12 inches high.


Basic Tool Kit:

Soldering 101 - Fives a Charm

Come join local artist Robin Dudley-Howes in her Soldering 101 class. In this workshop you will focus on creating and soldering 5 beautiful charms. Robin will show you the foundations of soldering with an iron, cutting and grinding glass into ovals and squares, soldering abstract shapes such as game pieces and vials, and creating a "box" with 3 dimensional findings. All materials are included, and Robin will allow you to use her soldering equipment if you don't have your own. This class is great for beginners as well as the seasoned soldering artist.
This class has sold out twice, so please call to reserve your seat ASAP!
Necklace not included. Robin does share her soldering equipment for those of you who don't yet have it. However, bringing your own soldering tools will ensure you will finish your work in class.

Bellina Bluebird

We are thrilled to welcome back Doll Artist Colleen Moody, as she teaches her Bellina Bluebird Doll. In this full day class you will sculpt your own doll as Colleen guides you step-by-step, making this process easy even for a beginner. You'll not only leave with your own sculptured head and wings and legs, but you'll finish your doll in class with pieces created beforehand by Colleen, a rare treat indeed! Colleen will share her techniques in sculpture, painting, antiquing, doll building, and creating one of a kind doll clothes. While all are levels of students are welcome, each must have basic hand-sewing skills, as well as know how to operate a sewing machine (which will be provided). Bellina stands approx. 18 inches tall, and is as cute as can be!
